Junior Leader

Summer Camp Junior Leaders range from age 13-14. This is the perfect age to instill responsibility, organization and self-awareness, we promote these skills and more through this program. For example, with the guidance of our Sr. counselors each Jr. Leader is assigned a special task of their own desire to accomplish by the end of the week. At the end of camp the manager will review the Jr. Leaders progress, strengths and how to improve. This helps to build character and furthers the skill we strive for in each Jr. Leader.

This age group will participate in weekly camps as assistants to our Zookeeper's (camp counselors). We often pair them with our Little Cubs and Safari Adventure campers to help them navigate through their day.

Jr. Leaders will get an opportunity to gain valuable leadership skills and work experience, in a fun and safe environment. A special discounted rate is available for Junior Leader campers. Many of our Jr. Leaders have started out as campers and become employees at Safari Run.
