How do I get involved with Safari Run?
Hello, we are The Eichensehr Family. We are a family of four who had the desire to bring more indoor fitness fun and entertainment to kids age's 3 -13.
My name is Jodi Hamilton-Eichensehr, I have been a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer since 1990, and have enjoyed every year of it. I have taught fitness in San Francisco, Guam, Thailand, and Pacific Athletic Club in Redwood City, where I trained for 15 years, and presently at Safari Run in San Mateo.
Year 2005 I created a company called Fitness 4 Future LLC. My goal was to reach out to kids of all ages and offer programs that were lots of fun and based on Christian values that would enrich the lives of families. The programs offered appealing lessons in fitness and nutrition. F4F was a great success, which brought my family and I to our next big adventure. In 2006 my family and I created this fun fitness enrichment center. My two boys encouraged me to pick a new name (they didn't want to go to Fitness 4 Future to have a party). They liked the idea of taking a safari through a play structure of animals, I liked the idea of having a running track...hence the name Safari Run. My husband, Rob was the engine behind the business; he put all our ideas together and made it happen.
Our research for parties was done as a family. When researching the play structure, our son’s top of the list was fast slides, big padded ladders, hanging bars and an animal theme. As parents our list included safety and cleanliness. When it came to the party menu our son’s top request was fast and easy. Rob and I wanted healthier choices. When deciding about the arcade room, our son’s top priority was anything that redeems lots of tickets to win great prizes. Rob and I wanted the kids to utilize hand eye coordination to the fullest. All of this research was done to make family parties fun for the kids and less hassle and stress for the parents. Once you are here, everything is set up for you. We watch that the kids are together as a group, we entertain the kids, we serve the food, we wrap up food that is not eaten, we clean up, and we even carry all the gifts to your car. Your job is to relax and enjoy the birthday child’s big day with family and friends.
We offer parties, open play time, fitness programs, winter, spring and summer camps.
Our main objective is to have a clean, safe and fun environment where families can integrate exercise and nutrition in a fun way.
Open Play was created by the consumer. The demand is to have time where families & friends can come in for one hour and burn off some extra energy in the play area. Children need parent supervision and you pay an hourly fee. Admission is on the top of each hour.
The Fitness Program and the Winter/Spring/Summer Camps are inspired by my fitness background. I developed a way to integrate kid’s fitness into playtime. My idea is to increase motivation and improve self-esteem in a dynamic and enjoyable way. These programs are making children aware of a healthy lifestyle and how it can benefit them throughout their lives.
Today, we are confident that franchising the business will allow the Safari Run business model to get out to other areas around the country in a quick and efficient manner. We feel that Safari Run is a business model that can easily be adapted and replicated anywhere in the country.
